As of May 2023 we have a new Master Plan being developed with H.M. Aero. Once complete this will allow us to plan for our next phases of growth. We have many ideas but we want to make sure we don’t inhibit future growth. Some ideas for the next 10 years include:

  • Grass crosswind runway.
  • T-hangars along a new taxiway.
  • New, larger apron.
  • A hangar for transient aircraft rental and to house maintenance equipment.
  • Further runway expansion.
  • New pilot lounge/terminal.
  • Weather Services.
  • Summer maintenance – grass is cut regularly, runway and taxiways are kept clear of FOD.
  • Winter maintenance – our standard is to clear runway within 24 hours of snowfall.
  • Hangar owners are responsible to clear snow from their apron and to keep grass cut and weeds down. Hangar owners are responsible to the halfway point between hangars.
  • No driving on taxiways or runway at any time unless approved by a board member. If you create FOD on the movement surfaces you may be charged for it to be swept.
  • Boats, cars, trailers are allowed but must be stored inside of the hangar and not left outside.
  • The use of hangars at CJS4 must primarily be to house aircraft.
